Objective
| We will copy a picture from the World Book Encyclopedia, and paste it into Kidspiration. We will then add a caption |
Attention Grabber
I will show the children a Kidspiration page that I have made. I'll then walk them through the process with a new Kidspiration document.
Instruction
The children will have the applications preloaded on the computers. They will begin in the world book encyclopedia until they find a picture that they like. They will then use the copy command to move the picture to Kidspiration. In Kidspiration, they will use the paste command. Hopefully, if there is time, we will be able to add a caption to each of the pictures that they have created.
Hands-On Activity
Each child will reproduce the Kidspiration page.
Note: This activity was much too complicated for these students. They had difficulty typing in a simple word into the search mechanism. I think I will need to be much simpler next time. Next time, I will have them mearly create a document in Kidspiration.
