Rm 210 and 211

Beginning on April 17th

These classes will research colorado history topics. This will be done using internet resources. The sites used by the class were collected by the Lab Administrator and posted onto the classes page on the lab intranet. Students were shown how to access this page and how to conduct a search for a particular topic.

Adittional discussion

The students were introduced to the concept of bias on the internet. There was a brief discussion of what bias is. The Lab Administrator then demonstrated two pictures that had an opposite bias of the immigration protests on May 1st, 2006. To find these articles, the Administrator used search terms in Google to gradually narrow the focus of the search. This process was witnessed by the students and allowed them to review the techniques practiced from the previous session. The task of the day was for each student to find an article dealing with the immigration protests and describe the bias of the photographer.
